The Management Committee compiled the following fee policy.
Methods of payment
Parents can pay the tuition and/or aftercare fees in either of the following two ways:
- A single payment for the year by EFT (5% discount) on or before (1 February 2023).
- Ten monthly payments by internet transfer, the first of which is due on (1 February 2023).
The school cannot be held responsible for monies going missing from learner’s school bags or plastic sleeves.
Total or partial exemption of school fees
As we are a Non-Profit Company we do not subsidise any fees and therefore do not give exemptions to school fees.
Overdue fees
- School and aftercare fees are due on the 1st day of the month. (Payment in advance).
- Parents who are experiencing financial difficulty and wishing to arrange for extension of payment MUST apply to the Management Committee IN WRITING. The Management Committee will consider the application and respond in writing, setting out the terms of repayment.
- NO telephonic or verbal arrangements with the Principal, Teacher, School Secretary or any Director of the Management Committee will be accepted.
- Should no written arrangements be made, the following measures will apply:
- If fees are not paid by the 7th of the month, a written reminder will be sent out to parents.
- Should no response be forthcoming within 7 working days of this reminder, a final letter of demand will be issued, indicating our intention to take the necessary legal steps to recover the outstanding fees.
- Should we still receive no response within 7 working days of the second letter, we shall hand the account over to our attorneys for collection.
- If after the above correspondence, the fees have not yet been paid and/or the correspondence sent to the parents has not been responded to, the Management Committee will have no option but to refuse the child entry to the school and/or aftercare with immediate effect.
- If an account is in arrears by 2 months the child will be expelled from the school and aftercare and the account will be handed over, should the full payment not be received by the end of the second month.
Accounts handed over to our attorneys
- Should an account be handed over to our attorneys for collection, the Management Committee and staff no longer have any authority to negotiate. All payments and correspondence should then be directed to our attorneys.
- All fees collected by the attorneys will be paid to the school, less cost incurred in collecting the said fees. The parent will be responsible for the attorney’s costs.
Notice period: School as well as Aftercare
Parents who withdraw their children from the school or aftercare are required to give notice of one calendar month. Should no notice be given, payment of one month’s fees will be required in lieu of notice. The Management Committee must inform all parents of this policy at the commencement of the school year.
